The Weekend Program is all about bringing students from far places. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s about a four-and-a-half-hour drive and I have a couple of students who also commute with me. We look forward to this four and a half hours to just talk and catch up.

Part of my career ambition is to move up the ranks through senior management. That would take me about 15 to 20 years to do. Booth helps me sort of fast track by learning the tips and tricks of management strategy and project management, and that's going to let me just fly in a lot sooner.

Part of the Booth culture is just connecting you with your friends. This class is such a tight-knit community. We go off and play basketball after class. It’s been a lot of fun because you get to network and interact with students outside of the Booth environment.

The Booth perspective is big on entrepreneurship, innovation, and management, so I wanted to take advantage of the resources at Booth and the professors. They really connect you with some of the alums of the same program.

Everybody wants to be a future CEO. That culture is infectious. It’s nice to have this entrepreneurial feel and then try to bring that back to work.
Somil Shah: 01:12
There’s a big difference between doers and wanters. Everybody here is a doer, and I love that.
Career Changes While at Booth
I’ve taken on a manager position with greater decision-making responsibility and ownership of projects.
